Hi, I am Alicea Davis, the proud owner of Grammy’s Cookie Jar in Katy, Texas. My inspiration for this
business has been the 10 amazing grandchildren I’ve been blessed with; hence the name Grammy.

Hospitality is a God given passion for me. I grew up in a family that was always baking or cooking so
earning a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management was a natural fit. Years later, after suddenly
becoming a single mom, I chose to leave hospitality and began a career in oil and gas accounting.
However, I never lost my love and passion for the kitchen, especially baking. I have always baked and
over the years I have perfected many recipes, but I really love working on new creative sweet treats to
share with family, close friends and my church family. The response has always stayed the same: “You
really need to start your own bakery!!!”

Like most of the world, the global pandemic impacted the stability of my accounting job however, it
created the opportunity to fulfill my dream of starting my own business at the ripe-old age of 61. This
adventure has been a true reminder to me that with God, ALL THINGS are possible! I am excited to see
all that He has in store for the future of Grammy’s Cookie Jar and it is my sincere hope that you will
enjoy being a part of Grammy’s family too.
